UNIT (organization)
The United Nations Intelligence Taskforce was founded in the 1960s as a largely covert paramilitary organization created to investigate unusual occurrences of a supernatural or alien nature. Unlike most similar groups, UNIT was an international organization, and an actual arm of the United Nations. In the mid-2000s, its name was changed to the Unified Intelligence Taskforce.
