Lt. Zelik Leybenzon transfers over from Starbase 23 to take over as chief of security/tactical officer.5
  • April 22-23. The Doctor (fourth incarnation), Romana (second incarnation), and K-9 (Mark II) arrive on the prison planetoid the Rock of Judgment in the independent Uva Beta Uva system. They arrive in time to face the wrath of an executed psychopath, Xais, whose psionic powers allowed her to survive said execution, and with the help of the warden, live on in a mask. The Doctor and friends manage to defeat her by trapping her on the eleventh planet in the star system where the substance of the mask that was resonant with her powers leaves her trapped.6
  • June. Admiral Kathryn Janeway, while investigating a derelict Borg vessel, is assimilated by the Borg, despite the warnings of Lady Q. This lone cube turns Janeway into a Queen of their isolated hive, and proceeds to head towards Earth. Enterprise defies orders and intercepts the Borg, along with Seven of Nine. Starfleet admiral Edward Jellico demands the arrest of Picard, resulting in a mutiny led by new security chief Zelik Leybenzon and counselor T'Lana, and reluctantly supported by Miranda Kadohata. The mutineers eventually stand down. Seven of Nine and the crew manage to destroy the Borg Cube, with Admiral Janeway dying, having worked inside to dissolve the vessel.7
  • June. Ensign D'Vana Tendi comes aboard the USS Cerritos in the science division, serving directly under chief medical officer Dr. T'Ana. She meets her fellow lower decks crew, including command division ensigns Beckett Mariner and Brad Boimler, and engineering ensign Sam Rutherford, who has recently been outfitted with a cybernetic implant. Shortly after, first officer Commander Jack Ransom, while dealing with Galardorian second contact negotiations, inadvertently brings a rage virus aboard that spreads quickly amongst the crew. Rutherford manages the crisis while also having a relatively successful date with Ensign Barnes. Boimler, assigned by Captain Carol Freeman to monitor Mariner's actions, finds Mariner giving farm equipment to Galardorian locals. This leads to Boimler getting suckled upon by a giant spider-like creature, leading to his being naked and covered in a pink slime. When he and Mariner return to the ship, T'Ana uses the pink goo to create a cure for the rage virus. Boimler declines to report Mariner's actions to the captain.8
