  • January 8 (Wednesday). The TARDIS briefly materializes in Alaska, and the Doctor (fifth incarnation) and Nyssa (22) see a plane take off.1
  • February 7 (Friday). Professor Edward Travers inadvertently reactivates a Yeti robot, and they begin to siege London. London is evacuated as the British Army attempts to deal with the threat. The Doctor (second incarnation), Jamie McCrimmon, and Victoria Waterfield (15) arrive in the TARDIS. Meeting Colonel Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart and Travers's daughter Anne, they are able to defeat the Yeti and their Great Intelligence master in the London Underground.2
  • February 25 (Tuesday). Roland Deschain telepathically enters the mind of the split personality Odetta Holmes (26), currently under the thrall of her Detta Walker personality. Upon his entry, Detta responds violently, and Roland takes full control of her body, dragging her into his world.3
  • March 1 (Sunday). Eccentric recluse, sorcerer, and chocolate magnate Willy Wonka () starts a contest in which five Golden Tickets are placed within candy bars, and their buyers would be invited to a tour of the mysterious Wonka Chocolate Factory.4

March 27 (Friday). The mutant girl Neena is birthed at Project: Armageddon's base in the Everglades, Florida, United States.

  • Crushingly poor child Charlie Bucket (10) finds a dollar, and buys himself two candy bars. The second one contains one of Willy Wonka's Golden Tickets.5

April 11 (Saturday). The TARDIS, carrying the Doctor and Susan Foreman, and Ian Chesterton () and Barbara Wright () materialize on an island on the planet Marinus. They spend the next several days hopping around the planet, procuring the Keys to a powerful device. They are accompanied by natives Altos and Sabetha.
April 12 (Sunday). Joseph Manfredi is born to Caterina and Silvio Manfredi in Orlando, Florida, United States.

  • April 24. Willy Wonka holds a tour of his Chocolate Factory. The children include Charlie Bucket (accompanied by his grandfather Joe Bucket), Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde, Veruca Salt, and Mike Teavee. The latter four children are murdered by Wonka in the guise of accidents. Wonka then gives his factory to Charlie as the only survivor.6
  • April 26 (Monday). The Republic of Tanganyika and the People's Republic of Zanzibar and Pemba are united to form the United Republic of Tanzania.7 The Tan Tanganyika forces the Tan Zanzibar to move into his house.

April 30 (Thursday). Susan Dearborn is born in the United States.
May 4 (Monday). Halcyon Renard and Anastasia Lefey (the Fey Titania pretending to be human) are wed.
May 5 (Tuesday). Rosalinda Doyle is born to Joanna Doyle and her husband in Bloomer, Wisconsin, United States.

  • May 13 (Wednesday). In Central City, Missouri, Nora Allen gives birth to identical twin boys. The doctor, having earlier accidentally killed the newborn child of Charlene and Hugo Thawne due to his drunkenness, takes one child and gives him to them, claiming to the Allens that one of their children was stillborn. The boy given to the Thawnes is named Malcolm Thawne. The Allens name their son Bartholomew Henry Allen.8

Having spent some time on the planet Fragrance, the Doctor and Susan, and Ian Chesterton () and Barbara Wright (), prepare to depart, but one young man, Rhythm, declares his love for Barbara. Barbara is unaware that on Fragrance, each youth gets one chance at romance, and when their partner is gone, they die, and Rhythm must now die. Susan discovers this and tries to prevent their departure, but the Doctor takes off rather than have Barbara remain behind.
The TARDIS is pulled to a planet and drained of power. The Doctor, Susan, Ian Chesterton, and Barbara Wright (both 1963) find themselves prisoners of a race of androids, led by the amoral Perfect One, who kills people, hoping to drain their life force and become truly alive. When the androids' creator, the Lucorite Taban, awakens from suspended animation, his rejection causes the Perfect One to destroy the planet, and the travelers barely escape.

  • June 15 (Monday). A complex missile defense system of the United States Air Force undergoes a malfunction, resulting in pilots over Alaska receiving orders to bombard Moscow in a nuclear strike. With the Soviets jamming communication, the U.S. government is unable to stop the pilots. The President of the United States contacts the Soviet premier, and gives them information to try and stop the jets. The President offers to annihilate New York should the bombs succeed in destroying Moscow. Agents of the Aegis manage to cause the planes to self-destruct, reversing the direction of the nuclear attacks, sparing both cities.9

June 27 (Saturday). Jerrica Benton is born to Jacqui and Emmett Benton in Burbank, California, United States.

  • July 5 (Sunday). At an American university, scientists Erik von Steiner, Steve Connor, and Carol White test an experimental temporal viewscreen. A malfunction causes the machine to become an active space/time portal to a desolate future 2071 year. Technician and idiot Danny McKee wanders into the future era, soon followed by the scientists, with the portal collapsing behind them. As these events happen, future iterations of the four time travelers, along with a number of 2071 refugees, appear in an accelerated time state. Rapidly aging, they enter the portal during its flux period, ending up in the distant year 129468, where the region has returned to a habitability.10

The infant Iris Russell appears in this time era. She is shortly adopted by Ira and Nadine West, who find her with a message from her biological parents.

  • July 13 (Monday). Sarah Jane Smith (12) and her friend Andrea Yates briefly encounter Maria Jackson (). While visiting a pier, Andrea falls to her death, though is, during a temporal distortion, visited by The Trickster entity.11

July 17. Nancy Thompson is born to Marge and Donald Thompson in Springwood, Ohio, United States.
July 18. Peter Van Zante is born in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
August 15. Matthew Michael Murdock is born to Grace and Jack Murdock in Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States.

  • September 5. A radioactive stone hits an ant hill in Yellowstone National Park. The colony is killed, save for one worker. It grows to relatively enormous size, develops a more humanoid form (including losing its segmented body structure and middle legs), and develops superhuman abilities. It chooses the name Atom Ant for itself, and begins a casual superhero career.
  • September 6. Ben Jackson enlists in the Royal Navy.

September 9. James Fargo is born to Anita and Frank Fargo in Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States.
September 9. Jonny Quest (10) and Race Bannon (30) face the Lizard Men!

  • September 17. On the first night of their honeymoon, Samantha Stephens (131) tells her new husband Darrin (36) she is a mystically powered "witch".12

September 23. Professor Roy Martin, his wife Carol, and their daughters Marsha, Jan, and Cindy visit Hawaii for an education conference.

September 24. The Munster family Herman, Lily, Marilyn, and Eddie Munster, along with Grandpa Dracula, move to Mockingbird Heights, Washington.

  • October 3 (Saturday). The recently empowered (via drugs) canine Shoeshine Boy debuts as the superhero Underdog (3) in the Calisotan town of Capital City. He causes massive destruction while attempting to rescue a child from a bank vault.14
  • October 10 (Saturday). Underdog has his first run-in with the evil Simon Bar Sinister, who uses a nonsenscientific device to turn people into photographs. He threatens Sweet Polly Purebred (Shoeshine's love interest), but Underdog gets the upper hand, and Bar Sinister is transformed into a photograph himself.15
  • October 14 (Wednesday). Soviet Premier and First Secretary of the Communist Party Nikita Khrushchev () retires from office at the end of a bloodless coup d'etat. He is replaced by Leonid Brezhnev as First Secretary and Alexei Kosygin as Premier.16
  • October 16 (Friday). Labour Party MP Harold Wilson becomes Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, replacing Alec Douglas-Home ().17
  • October 20 (Tuesday). Former U.S. President Herbert Hoover () dies from internal bleeding.18

October 31. The TARDIS arrives in England. It and its occupants, the Doctor, Susan Foreman, Ian Chesterton (1963), and Susan Wright (1963) are shrunken due to a relative dimension misalignment. They also help a murderer get apprehended before returning to their correct size.
November 3. Incumbent President Lyndon Johnson defeats Republican Senator Barry Goldwater in the United States presidential election.
The Tythonian ambassador Erato lands on Chloris, hoping to negotiate a trade agreement. The ruthless industrialist Adastra throws it in a pit.
A psychopath enters a Dixie Duck Burger Palace in Atlanta, Georgia, and kills everyone in the restaurant save for the boy Jim Ironheart (10), who survives only by the killer getting gunned down by the police. Jim is sent to live with his paternal grandparents in the aftermath.
November 30. Peter Pan arrives at Kensington Gardens, again seeking Wendy Darling. He encounters her, now Wendy Sweet (72), and she introduces him to her granddaughter, Margaret Moira. Confused by Wendy's age and the other girl's resemblance to her, Peter considers staying, and cuts his shadow off in order to be able to finally move on from his love for Wendy. Peter departs, and leaves the shadow. The shadow kisses the young girl, and incarnates into a human form. The shadow Peter has no recollection of Peter's life.

  • December 19 (Saturday). Emily Linus goes into labor while hiking with her husband Roger outside Portland, Oregon. She gives birth to a boy, but dies as a result. The boy is later named Benjamin Linus by his grieving father.
