BEFORE

1935

  • February 1 (Wednesday). James Trotter (4) is orphaned when his parents are eaten by a mutated man-eating rhinoceros. The boy is sent to live with two horrible women, Spiker and Sponge, who claim to be his aunts.1
  • Wan Li (9) meets Professor Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr. (35) after trying to pickpocket him. Jones gives the kid the nickname "Short Round".
  • March 29-April 1 (Friday-Monday). A Tokyo couple has their niece, Setsuko Kuwano (20), a girl with Western tastes, come for a visit. She helps her uncle fake a golf trip (unsuccessfully), and though conflict between the couple ensues, her help gets them to reconcile and have a night of passion.2
  • May 13 (Monday). Camp Crystal Lake is founded in Suffolk County, New Jersey.
  • May 25-28. Margaret Rainier (40) returns to her former home in Devon for some time away from her husband/business partner Charles Rainier (44), and to embark on a trip to South America. While she is away, Charles travels to Melbridge to settle a strike. In the strike's aftermath, the revelry in the streets begins to jostle his long hidden memories. His mind reconstructing things, he travels to the Devon home he once lived in as Smithy, and finally comes to his old home, using the key he's held onto for 15 years to open its door. At that moment, Margaret appears, and calls out to Smithy, and he remembers her as Paula, and embraces and kisses her, his memories fully restored.3
  • June 6 (Thursday). On the last day of school in Los Angeles, the Our Gang kids learn that their teacher Miss Jones is being replaced by a Mrs. Wilson after she gets married and won't be able to work. They scheme to disrupt a wedding dinner by having Spanky McFarland () and Alfalfa Switzer () dress as an adult man, and later ruin Miss Jones's pasta. They learn that Miss Jones is marrying a man named Wilson, and he actually is allowing her to work after all, so they won't lose anything. They feel forced to eat the ruined pasta.4

After getting a message from his "eleventh" self, the eighth Doctor and Charley Pollard (19/1930) visit this time in order to investigate warnings of enemy aliens. Charley becomes entangled with an English Nazi sympathizer. Charley and the Doctor, after many split-ups, defeat both the sympathizer and an attempted alien invasion.[4]
July. Indiana Jones (36), Short Round, and singer Willie Scott (30) escape Shanghai, and become embroiled in an adventure wherein they defeat a Thugee cult in India, freeing the many child slaves, including the mind-controlled Zalim Singh, ruler of the princely state of Pankot under the British Raj.[5]
Wan Li is legally adopted by Dr. Henry Jones Jr., and sent to a boarding school in the United States.
September 30 (Monday). The TARDIS, carrying the Time Lord Doctor (second incarnation), Jamie McCrimmon (24), and Victoria Waterfield (14/1866) arrives in the Himalayas in Tibet. They run across Professor Edward Travers and a group of monks, and face off against the Great Intelligence and its android Yeti enforcers. They also briefly meet a real Yeti.[6]
December 31 (Tuesday). After several mad short films are produced starring the Warner Bros. Yakko (13), Wakko (10), and Dot (8), the three zany animal-things are locked away for the first time in a water tower on Warner Bros.' studio lot.[7]

1936

February 28 (Friday). The Doctor (fourth incarnation) and Leela (27) visit Carnegie Hall in New York to hear Bronislaw Huberman (53) play his Stradivarius violin. It is stolen, and the Doctor and Leela take off in the TARDIS in an attempt to recover it.[8]
March 16 (Monday). The creature Eugene the Jeep manifests in reality through extra-dimensional cells passing through the dimensional barriers and combining with dog DNA. It comes to live with the sailor Popeye (41).
April 1 (Wednesday). Ferdinand the Bull (2) accidentally sits on a bee, and is stung, and thrashes around. His rampage is noticed by scouts for bullfighting, who decide he is perfect for their celebrations.[9]
April 4 (Saturday). Ferdinand the Bull is released into the bullfighting arena, and promptly ignores the matador so as to smell the flowers of the female spectators' hats. Ferdinand's life is spared, and he is allowed to return to the ranch and continue smelling flowers.[10]
April 11 (Saturday). Cookie Bumstead is born to Blondie (25) and Dagwood Bumstead (26) in Joplin, Missouri, United States.[11]
April 18 (Saturday). M'Gann M'Orzz is born on Mars.
May 22 (Friday). Jeffrey Robbins is born in the United States.
May 28 (Thursday). Addams family butler Lurch accidentally gets his hand severed. Sam Dracula uses a spell to try and restore the hand, but instead causes the hand to become animated, and Lurch to grow a new one. Gomez Addams names the hand Thing T. Thing, and they are fast friends.
June 10 (Wednesday). Barbara "Nanny" Twoshoes opens her day care center for Muppet children. Eight children are dropped off: Kermit the Frog (2), Miss Piggy (3), Fozzie Bear (2), Gonzo the Great (3), Rowlf the Dog (3), Scooter Grosse (2), Skeeter Grosse (2), and the Monster Animal.
June 21 (Sunday). The Time Lord Doctor (sixth incarnation) and Evelyn Smythe (56/2000) visit Brighton, and meet the Cheeky Chappie himself, Max Miller. Together they face a deadly alien presence.
September. Indiana Jones (37) teams up with ex-lover Marion Ravenwood (27) and friend Sallah el-Kahir (38), stopping the Nazis from procuring the Ark of the Covenant.[12]
September 25 (Friday). Heckle and Jeckle, a pair of magpie-like Anthros, hatch in Calisota.
November 3 (Tuesday). President Franklin Roosevelt wins reelection to the United States presidency, defeating Republican Kansas Governor Alf London.
November 5 (Thursday). Charley Pollard (2024) finds herself in a wooded area with crazed women on the verge of madness. She eventually discovers that they are a lost expedition where the men were turned into monsters by one of the Viyrans' viruses. She returns to the Ever-and-Ever Proxility to escape.
November 5 . Charlotte Pollard finds herself stuck in a nether realm. Through a seance, she materializes in the home of her parents in England. After a tumultuous reunion, Richard and Louisa Pollard accept their daughter's miraculous return after believing her dead for so long. Their happiness is disrupted by Viyran agents, who threaten the Pollards. Charley surrenders to them, and returns to the future. The Viyrans not only wipe the Pollards' memories of the encounter, but they erase Charley's existence from her parents' minds.
Iris Wildthyme (sixth incarnation) and Jo Jones (61/2010) visit Hollywood, and discover a celebrity who turns her husbands into monsters using another relic Iris left behind. The adventure is complicated by the appearance of the Doctor (eighth incarnation).
November 12 (Thursday). Popeye is reunited with his father, Poopdeck Pappy (85).
November 26-28 (Thursday-Saturday). The Time Lord Doctor (fourth incarnation) and Sarah Jane Smith (24/1974) accidentally leave Harry Sullivan (30/1974) behind in this era. Harry finds himself investigating werewolves with the eighth Doctor. The fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane come back and save him, but not until after he is bitten by a werewolf.
